TWO supermarket employees who met at work in Kidderminster have saved their nectar points for two years to pay for their wedding food.

Mike Davies and Maggie Alderman tied the knot last weekend after meeting while working at Sainsbury’s.

Colleagues at the supermarket helped to arrange food and entertainment for the wedding.

Deli staff helped to prepare the wedding food while counters team leader Jane Robson made the wedding cake.

Ladies from the Sainsbury’s choir sang at the register office and colleagues helped with the photography and transport.

The pair became a couple in 2010 after releasing they shared a mutual interest in Severn Valley Railway’s 1940s weekends.

They said: “We are both delighted for getting the opportunity to meet at Sainsbury’s and our colleagues have become very much involved with our special day, for which we are both thrilled and very grateful.”

The wedding was held at Kidderminster Register Office followed by a reception at the Kidderminster Harriers FC Aggborough Suite.
