CAR dealership colleagues in Kidderminster have raised nearly £3,000 for Kemp Hospice by completing the three peaks challenge in less than 24 hours.
Staff at CMS Vauxhall, in Churchfields, raised £2,965.50 by climbing the three highest mountains in the UK - Scafell Pike in England, Snowdon in Wales and Ben Nevis in Scotland.
Team CMS was made up of five employees who raised the money through sponsorship, bag packing and car washing.
Workshop manager Luke Mezzone said: “We were looking for a challenge to do and got in touch with Kemp Hospice who recommended the three peaks.
“We did bits of training together but it was the first kind of challenge I’ve ever done.”
Employees Ben Webb, Mike Fellows, Steve Hale and driver Maurice Hough completed the challenge in 22 hours and 31 minutes.
Mr Mezzone added: “The top of Ben Nevis was the best, it was a perfectly clear day and you could see for miles.
“It was such hard work and we only had an hour’s sleep between each peak but definitely worth it.”
