Power tools worth more than £2,500 stolen in Chaddesley Corbett

POWER tools worth more than £2,500 have been stolen from an insecure barn in Chaddesley Corbett.

They were taken from the barn near Curslow Lane between 9am and 1pm on Monday, September 10.

Thieves stole a Stihl chainsaw worth £450, a Stihl leaf blower worth £300, a Stihl disc cutter worth £420 and three Husqvarna chainsaws worth £1,650 in total. One is a 181xp in green, one is a 281xp in orange and the other is 338xpt.

PC Andy Wallace said: “The thieves would probably have needed a van or large vehicle to take away all of these tools so we would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any vehicles parked in unusual circumstances that day.

“We would also ask anyone who is offered tools for sale similar to the ones stolen and is unsure of their origin to call us as soon as possible.”

A West Mercia Police statement urged residents, particularly those in rural locations, to keep power tools and other valuable items locked away securely.

Anyone with information should contact PC Wallace on 101, quoting incident 660-S-140912, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
