ARMY cadets from Stourport and Kidderminster have been volunteering to clean up waterways over the summer.
The Hereford and Worcester army cadets helped to tidy canal towpaths, sweep up litter and clean locks from their maintenance barge.
The volunteer days, held in partnership with the Canal and Riverside Trust, aimed to help cadets achieve passes for their community and Duke of Edinburgh volunteering sections.
The day involved boating and canoeing as well as the work to give cadets an enjoyable day.
The army cadets is a voluntary youth movement for young people aged 13 to 18. For more information call 01432 359917.
