FATHER and son Mark and Joshua Humphries have put their best feet forward for the Bramble Appeal.

The duo, of cleaning firm the Cleaning Faerie, took part in the Severn Way Walk on Saturday, September 15 and strolled for 16 miles from Bewdley to Worcester.

They have yet to find out how much money they have raised as they are still collecting the cash but will donate the funds towards the restoration of the canal boat.

Mark said: “It was a perfect walking day, dry and sunny but not too hot. We are still collecting the money in but we should have a figure by next week.”

The pair have also offered to clean Bramble both in preparation for renovation and once it is completed, while Josh has signed up as a volunteer with Stourport Forward - which owns the boat.

Meanwhile, there is a new manager at the organisation. Sarah Lange will be covering for Liz Sheerin, who is on maternity leave. Ms Lange said ‘I was thrilled to be offered the job.

Taking over from Liz who is so well thought of is going to be tough but I am looking forward to all the challenges.”
