BEATLES memorabilia including a ceramic yellow submarine was among property worth nearly £3,000 stolen in a burglary in Kidderminster.

Burglars broke into a flat in Comberton Hill between 1.30pm on Monday and 7pm on Tuesday and stole a 52-inch, flat screen Samsung TV worth about £2,000 and Beatles memorabilia worth about £250.

A boxed, plastic figurine collection set featuring the band wearing blue suits alongside a crocodile was stolen and a ceramic yellow submarine which is around 14 to 16 inches long.

The haul also included an Xbox worth £250, a Kodak digital camera valued at £120, and a silver-coloured Sony video camera worth £300.

Detective constable Adrian Bartlett said: "It's likely more than one offender was involved given the amount of property stolen and someone may have been seen them carrying out the 52-inch television. Please contact us if you saw or heard anything unusual or know who was responsible.

"The stolen Beatles memorabilia is very distinctive, so if that has been offered to you or you think you have seen it anywhere then, again, let us know as soon as possible."

Anyone with information should call Det Con Bartlett on 101, quoting the incident reference 683-s-180912.

Details can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
