A KIDDERMINSTER law firm will be raising cash for an eye charity that supports blind and partially sighted people.

MFG solicitors will be collecting funds for Sight Concern by offering discounted will-writing from October 8 to 19.

The Birmingham Road based law firm raised more than £6,000 for the charity in May.

Valerie Robinson, partner at the firm, said: “Volunteers at Sight Concern have been supporting visually impaired people across the Wyre Forest for over 80 years. They’ve shown a tremendous dedication and given people the skills and confidence to carry on with their daily lives. With more funding, Sight Concern wants to reach out to more local people who are affected by sight loss so we will be doing all we can to raise as much as possible during our wills promotion.”

Peter Bylett, Sight Concern trustee and Kidderminster branch volunteer, added: “We have worked with the superb team at MFG Solicitors for a number of years. We are so grateful for their efforts and the October wills campaign is certain to be a success.

“Each year we must raise over £400,000 to support around 3,000 blind and partially sighted people across the whole of Worcestershire. This initiative will help us greatly.”

People can book an appointment for the discounted wills promotion by calling 01562 820181 quoting Sight Concern’, or by emailing laura.smith@mfgsolicitors.com.
