FIVE generations of women had a family get-together in Stourport for the first time since the youngest was born three months ago.
The matriarch 87-year-old Sheila Ashford, of Cosford in Shropshire, was very proud to see the five women, including her great, great granddaughter Lexiie, in the same room for a photograph.
Mrs Ashford’s daughter Glenise Stanley, 64, hosted the gathering in Stourport which brought together 41-year-old granddaughter Roxanne Pearson, of Darlaston and 20-year-old great-granddaughter Zoe Pearson, of Walsall.
Mrs Ashford said: “The children have all grown up so quickly. It’s amazing that 20 years ago we did a similar photo when Zoe was the 5th generation girl and now she’s a mother herself.
“It was a lovely day yesterday and we all enjoyed it.”
