BEWDLEY Museum will be offering guided history walks throughout the town as part of OctoberFest.

Walkers will be able to learn about the lesser-known buildings and history of Bewdley as part of the town’s month-long art, food and music event.

An Orchards and History Trail is taking place on Saturday which starts at the museum at 1pm for a four to five-mile guided walk across the countryside.

Bewdley’s Harvest Fair will take place on Saturday, October 6 which includes a craft market, a horse parade, apple pressing and craft activities.

As well as the Harvest Fair, Bewdley Civic Society will be leading historic walks through the town at 11am and 4pm which begin in front of the museum.

On Sunday, October 14 and Thursday, October 18 there will be a guided walk to Ribbesford, looking at Tickenhill and Kateshill and a visit to the site of Bewdley’s old Snuff Mill.

The four-mile walks will begin at 2pm and include tea and cakes at the museum afterwards.
