HARD work has paid off for a former Kidderminster student who has been rewarded with a £1,000 scholarship for exceeding a university’s offer expectations.
Glenn Weaver, a former Baxter College head student, has scooped the Sir Peter Mansfield Scholarship from Nottingham University after gaining two As and a B in his A levels this year when his offer was 3 Bs.
He will now be studying physics with theoretical astrophysics at the university.
Dave Seddon, Baxter principal, said: “We are all very proud of his achievements.”
