Cars taken in Stourport burglary

TWO cars have been stolen in a Stourport burglary.

Keys to the vehicles were taken from a house on Sandy Lane after it was entered via an unlocked door between midnight and 12.10am on Sunday.

A green T-reg Ford Focus and a green L-reg Vauxhall Frontera were then stolen from outside the property. Both cars were found abandoned yesterday on Hartlebury Common.

Det Sgt Marc Sanders from Wyre Forest CID said: “While we are glad these vehicles have been recovered and can be returned to their rightful owner, our focus now is on catching the people responsible for burgling the house.

“With the recent launch of Citadel, a new initiative aimed at driving down the number of burglaries committed in the force area, bringing burglars to justice is a top priority for us.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicles being driven away from Sandy Lane or who may have seen the cars being driven onto the common where they were later abandoned.”

Anyone with information should call Det Sgt Sanders on 0300 333 3000, quoting 69-N-300912 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
