A BEWDLEY fish and chip shop is looking to catch as many donations as possible in aid of serving and ex-serving seafarers.
Merchants Fish Bar, Load Street, is hosting a week of charity events including raffles, a coffee morning, quiz night, sponsored hair shave and book and toy sales from Monday until next Sunday, October 14.
Money raised will be donated to Seafarers UK which supports and promotes organisations which look after the welfare needs of serving and ex-serving seafarers from the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Merchant Navy and fishing fleets, as well as their families.
Merchants Fish Bar manager Richard Elzner said: “It is going to be a fun week and we hope people will get involved.
“We wanted to support seafarers because they go out to sea and catch our fish and the charity supports the armed forces.”
The week is also part of the fish bar’s National Fish and Chip Shop of the Year Award entry.
“We are hoping to raise as much money as possible,” added Mr Elzner.
