Second US court case for Kidderminster man delayed

THE court appearance of a Kidderminster man accused of getting into an altercation with a prison inmate in a US jail has been delayed.

Marcus Bebb-Jones, who is being held in Garfield County Jail, Colorado, after pleading not guilty to first-degree murder for the death of his wife, was due to appear in court in the altercation case on Monday .

The proceedings have now been delayed until Monday, December 17, until after his murder trial – scheduled to be held over five weeks starting on Monday, November 5 – is completed.

Bebb-Jones, 49, was issued with a summons in July for misdemeanour harassment, which includes “strikes, shoves and kicks”, after an incident with inmate Thomas Norberg. The latter is accused of misdemeanour assault.

It is unknown how or why the incident started.
