WYRE Forest Age UK will be opening its doors to members of the publc to show off its refurbished building.
The open day and coffee morning takes place on Monday, October 15, from 10.30am until 2pm at the charity’s Tulip Tree Centre in Castle Road, Kidderminster.
It will give people the chance to see what Age UK, which provides a range of services to people 50 or over, does and talk to members of staff about how to get involved.
Chief officer, Jenny Knowles, said: “We wanted to showcase the refurbished centre and publicise our new name of Age UK Wyre Forest [previously Age Concern].
“The open day was such a success last year, with the number of people taking advantage of the opportunity to come. We were able to recruit several volunteers as well as help many people with enquiries.
“The staff are very user friendly and I want to reassure people who are reticent about asking for advice, particuarly about benefit entitlement, to come along and find out.
“The advice is free and confidential.”
