A KIDDERMINSTER kickboxer has added another notch to his belt by claiming the International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) light contact British championship in Birmingham.

Connor Porter, 16, beat a tough opponent from London to win the under 65kg title which now means he will attempt to win double gold medals in both light and full contact at the ISKA world amateur championships in the Netherlands next month.

Connor’s performance gave him a unanimous decision for his win with his movement, counter-punching and kicking skills.

The Kidderminster College student trains six days a week at Winspers Martial Arts Centre, in Kidderminster while studying for his Sports Science course.

He has already won an array of titles and championships in Britain and Europe in both light and full contact disciplines.
