WYRE Forest bosses were among managers who were read their rights, handcuffed and taken to “Bewdley Jail” - all in the name of charity.
It was part of Kemp Hospice’s charity event Lock up Your Boss and £2,000 was raised.
Mangers taking part included Paul Mitchell, of Lloyds Garage, Stourport, Chris Cookson, of Hickory Dickory Dock Nursery, Kidderminster and Nick Akathiotis, of Foley’s Fish Bar, in Kidderminster.
Steve Davies, of Prosperity Wealth, Stourbridge and Doug Lynes from Lens Online also took part.
The group had minimal rations and only had their mobile phone, a pen and paper to help them raise the £250 bail required for their release.
Kate Wilkinson, events fund-raiser, said: “All the bosses took being ‘arrested’ in their stride and entered into the fun of the day even if it was a total surprise. They got straight on their phones and have raised an amazing sum for the Hospice, more than £2,000.”
