Hotel fundraiser held for Libby
7:10am Tuesday 16th October 2012 in News
A FUNDRAISING event was held at a Shenstone hotel to raise money for a six-year-old girl from Kidderminster who has been diagnosed with Leukaemia.
The Granary Hotel raised £2,600 for Libby Field who is being treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The idea for the fundraiser came from the hotel’s wedding co-ordinator Jo Burgess, who is good friends with Libby’s mum, Lizzie.
Local suppliers provided their services free of charge including a DJ, sweet cart and raffle prizes.
Receptionist Emma Kimber sat in a bath of baked beans throughout the afternoon to raise money and the event included a bouncy castle, barbecue, tombola, face painting and a cake stall.
Organisers would like to thank all who attended and showed support for Libby.
