VISITORS made a beeline to Brockencote Hall Hotel at Cheddesley Corbett on Sunday for the latest I Will wedding show, with more than 200 budding brides and grooms seeking inspiration for their nuptials.

A marquee in the grounds accommodated nearly 40 exhibitors showcasing everything from jewellery and sweets to photography and video services, as well as a wide variety of bridal gowns and accessories.

The hotel provided everyone with canapés and a complimentary glass of fizz, while visitors had the chance to enter a prize draw to win a dream dress from Bridal Boutique of Worcester, sponsor of the I Will events.

Karen Dunn, of La Couture Bridal Boutique in Blakedown, was particularly pleased with the day’s success.

“This was my first I Will event and I was very impressed! Everything was well-organised and ran smoothly, and there were plenty of visitors – I had lots of enquiries and really enjoyed the day,” she said.

The next I Will show takes place on Sunday, October 28 at Worcester Rugby Football Club with around 85 exhibitors and two professional catwalk shows. The event runs between 11am and 3.30pm.

The I Will wedding shows – run by the people behind local newspapers such as The Shuttle, Bromsgrove Advertiser, Redditch Advertiser, Stourbridge News, Halesowen News and Dudley News – bring together an array of services under one roof.

This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.
