Kidderminster dancers take part in flashmob

Kidderminster College students took part in a flashmob today in Worcester to help raise awareness of green energy.

The 16 to 19-year-olds, who are studying for their level three diploma in dance, treated unsuspecting shoppers to an impromptu dance in the High Street.

The event marked the opening of Midlands-based company Eco2Solar’s Making Sense of Green Energy event at Worcester’s Guildhall.

The 22 dancers performed to a mash-up of music including Singing in the Rain and Walking on Sunshine.

Managing director of Eco2Solar Paul Hutchens said: “We’re delighted to have such talented dance students from Kidderminster College join us in celebrating green energy.

“What better way to kick off our event than a surprise flashmob dance. It is thanks to the hard work and commitment of the students that we have been able to make this possible.”

Anna Lines, course leader for dance at Kidderminster College said: “We’re very proud to be asked to be involved in Eco2Solar’s awareness event and showcase the talent of our local dance students for all to see.”

The event at the Guildhall including jugglers, free question and answer sessions on renewable energy and expert talks.
