A PHOTO of murder victim Betty Yates has been placed on Mother Teresa’s tomb in Calcutta by one of her former pupils.
Verity Worthington, 29, of Kidderminster, who was taught by Mrs Yates at the former St John’s Middle School, placed her picture on the tomb as a tribute to the 77-year-old found murdered in her cottage off Dowles Road, Bewdley, on January 4.
Miss Worthington, who is currently in India caring for orphans and street people, also set up facebook page “RIP Betty Yates, the best teacher there was”, which curently has 749 members and organised a candlelit vigil for Mrs Yates.
She said: “I am still so sad about this even from afar.”
