A TALENTED Worcestershire hair stylist has made it through a series of tough auditions to secure a place working with some of the world’s leading models at February’s London Fashion Week.

Tessa Rouse, a colouring and styling expert from Bewdley salon Duce and Romao, has been chosen to work backstage alongside the artistic team from Toni & Guy.

The 23-year-old secured her place at the capital’s prestigious fashion event by successfully passing a six-stage audition process, where she was judged by members from Toni and Guy’s international artistic team in a variety of styling tests.

Miss Rouse is now set to help style up to 40 models at 10 shows per day at a variety of venues across London, during the five-day fashion festival running between February 16 and 20.

Miss Rouse said: “It has always been one of my ambitions to work backstage and experience the buzz at a big fashion event.

"London Fashion Week attracts people from across the world so I cannot wait to work and learn more from so many amazing people.

“I went through a really tough audition process so I am also really pleased that the team at Toni and Guy liked my ideas and felt I would be a good fit in their team.

"I also hope to pick up some tips from the other stylists I will be working with so I can bring those ideas back to Worcestershire. I can’t wait to get going.”

Laura Duce, the salon’s artistic director and co-owner, added: “Since joining us three years ago, Tess has established herself as one of the area’s most talented up-and-coming hair stylists.

“It’s absolutely brilliant news for her after passing an intense audition process. She now has the opportunity to shine, showcase what she can do, and work with models and experts from across the world. To play a part in one of the world’s top fashion shows is wonderful news for Tess and fully deserved. "Everyone connected with the salon is delighted for her.”
