FOLLOWING on from last year’s success at the National Fitness Awards, Gymophobics is delighted is delighted to announce that the ladies only gym has been shortlisted for three further awards in 2014.

The Redditch gym beat off strong competition from hundreds of entries from gyms based across the UK to make the finals.

Gymophobics is in line to win prestigious accolades as the UK Ladies Gym of the Year (for the second year running if successful) and Regional Gym of the Year.

It has also been shortlisted for its commitment to supporting the local community, which involves significant fundraising initiatives.

Now in its fifth year, the awards are recognised as being prestigious and impartial, based on quality, innovation and expertise.

Trophies will be handed out a glittering awards ceremony on Friday, November 28 at The Athena in Leicester, which will be hosted by boxing world champion Ricky Hatton and top TV presenter and fitness expert Caroline Pearce.

National Fitness Awards’ director Judith Halkerston said: "Considering the high number and calibre of entries, it is a huge achievement to be one of just a handful of shortlisted gyms and Gymophobics should be congratulated for making it this far."

And Zoe Cooke, who is director of the gym, based in Albert Street, on Prospect Hill, said: "This is a very exciting time. It is great to be recognised by our industry peers in this way and is testament to the hard work of all our staff and members who’ve helped us develop the gym over the past seven years."
