West Midlands business Avanti Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms has been awarded half a million pound birthday present from its backers following a successful call on investors.

Following its 35th birthday, the retailer successfully completed an investment drive earning £500,000 to revamp its network of showrooms and enhance customer experience.

The investment will also allow Avanti to expand its collection to include more products from more manufacturers as well as implement advanced displays and give staff more training.

Lee Capewell, managing director said: “2016 has been a very big year for us, not least because we are celebrating a big milestone for the business.”

Avanti has been a prominent retailer of kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms across the West Midlands for years, and has previously been shortlisted for a Black Country Chamber of Commerce award.

The company hopes that the sum of half a million pounds will help the firm to achieve its goal of £11 million in sales over 2017.

“We wanted to do something that marked this achievement, but also put a marker in the sand about where we are going and our intention to become the West Midlands’ leading retailer of kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.” Mr Capewell added.

The changes will focus on providing more choice and clear displays to customers, as well as allowing stores to expand their stock including such notable names as Seimens and Bosch.

The investment will be spread across all nine of Avanti’s showrooms and will also allow the company to begin introducing its own range of products into its stores that will provide more bespoke options for its clients.
