A NEW family-run Kidderminster kitchens business has been given the civic seal of approval.
The Kitchen Company Worcester Ltd has been founded by 30-year-old carpenter Hannah Heavens and unveiled its new outlet based at Thomson and Parkes builder’s merchants on the Oldington Trading Estate on Stourport Road..
Mayor of Kidderminster Councillor Nicky Gale officially opened the state-of-the-art studio at a ceremony held earlier this month.
Hannah was trained as a carpenter and bench joiner by her father Paul Duriez, who is now trade sales and installation manager at The Kitchen Company.
They will also be joined by Hannah’s husband Steve, who is responsible for the company’s finance and marketing.
Mr Duriez said: “Hannah found a real passion for designing kitchens, being a keen cook, and her designs have proved to be both beautiful and practical. She has gained a lot of experience in the fitted furniture industry.
“Mayor Nicky Gale was wonderful at our event. She did a great job giving us all a sense of being a welcome part of this wonderful town and we all really enjoyed her time with us.”
