FOUR Kidderminster women are getting their walking boots ready to take part in this weekend's magical moonlight walk in aid of Kemp Hospice.
Enid Hall has been volunteering as a receptionist at the hospice for the past four years since the new building opened in Mason Road.
She decided to take part in the walk with her friends and family to help support the hospice further.
Enid's granddaughter, Samantha said: "We decided to take part in the walk as so many people we know have been cared for by Kemp. We wanted to join in to say thank you."
So far 300 women have registered to take part in the event which will take place at the Forestry Commission's visitor centre at Callow Hill, at the stroke of midnight.
Beth Jackson, hospice fundraiser said: "We are absolutely over the moon with the response, especially as this is the first time we have held a midnight walk.
"We would also like to say a big thank you to those who are helping on the night and those individuals and companies who have helped to make this event possible."
Kemp is anticipating that the event will become a major fundraiser each year for the charity, which provides care and support for those living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in the Wyre Forest.
You still have a chance to take part in the walk, but must visit the hospice in person to register before 4pm tomorrow. No entries will be accepted on the day.
