Las week, rumour has it that police were called by members of supposed road maintenance outfit Balfor Beatty. There were complaints of abuse from over zealous passing motorists.
These workers didn't much like the insults that wereliberally slung their way so they decided that something must be done. So they called the police to stop people calling them names, the poor fragile souls
Well it's not fair is it? there they were taking a well earned tyre swing break, it's tiring work digging a great big hole in the road afterall, when all of a sudden some bastard motorist roars past and shouts out of his window to get up off your arse and do some b***** work! Well that kind of affair really puts a crimp on your day doesn't it.
Word is that there was a bit of trouble, perhaps a bit of a scuffle. I am not in full possession of the facts here but there very well may have been a physical encounter, possibly a fight. If anyone saw a troupe of roadworkers getting verbally and physically abused please drop me a comment at the foot of the blog, I'm intrigued to know what happened.
Of course you could argue that if they completed their jobs on time and not let the work drag out for months on end then they wouldn't recieve abuse. Afterall, Balfor Beatty's slackness could well account for the drop in trade on Stourport High Street.
Where was this meant to have happened?
According to the rumour mill it happened in Bewdley near or on the bridge. So anyone who saw it please enlighten us.
