St George's Parade
STORM clouds stayed away as more than 1,000 children and young people marched through Kidderminster for the town’s annual St George’s Day Parade on Sunday. Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs, Brownies, Scouts, Guides and Explorers congregated in New Road before setting off on the parade through the town, en route to services at Baxter Church, St Mary’s Church and St George’s Church.
The marchers escaped the rain as the only brief downpour came during the church services.
