I WAS very alarmed that two residents have called for a by-election for the St Chad's county council division after Mike Oborski's death.
Why waste £33,000 of council money for a by-election when Mike's position was up for election in May anyway.
What is even more alarming is that its the law that only two residents are required to call this by-election. This is hardly a representative sample.
I am a resident, council taxpayer and am part of the St Chad's electorate and I want to save the council £33,000 and wait until May.
If these two residents want a by-election, why don't they pay the £33,000?
