PRESENTATION and communication specialist, drpgroup, has celebrated a double win at the Eventia International Awards.
The company a finalist in four categories, Agency of the Year, Best Use of a Venue, Best Short Haul Conference - for which it won silver - and Best Celebratory Event - for which it won gold.
The awards were based on drpgroup's work for Thomas Cook in the Spirit of Thomas Cook event in Turkey. Judges looked at examples of impact, creative thinking, logistical expertise and maximum appeal to the target audience.
The business also received several nominations during 2007, three of which it went on to win. It was nominated for awards from IVCA Livecom, Meetings and Incentives Travel and Visit London.
The Visit London awards showcase and celebrate the best offerings in business and leisure tourism throughout London and drp was shortlisted for Business Event of the Year for their work on the National Express Group leadership conference.
Meetings and Incentives Travel launched the Meetings Industry Marketing Awards to raise the standards of marketing in the meetings industry and to recognise excellence, with drpgroup nominated in the Best Live Marketing Event category and winning bronze for its work with National Express.
The celebrations continued, as drp went on to win another award in the same category, silver, for its work on the Spirit of Thomas Cook event.
The IVCA - International Visual Communication Association - Livecom annual awards are the only ones of their kind to promote excellence in overseas trade in live and experiential communications.
Government supports IVCA Livecom, which commends companies bringing UK audiences to overseas locations, with drpgroup award winners in the Motivation and Inspiration Category for the Spirit of Thomas Cook conference in Turkey.
Managing director, Dale Parmenter, said: "We were delighted to be shortlisted for the awards and even more so to be named as winners.
"Our work with Thomas Cook and National Express really captured the essence of drpgroup, reinforcing our assertion that anything's possible. It's wonderful to receive recognition for our hard work on those events."
