WI - Eileen Millward reported on the visit to the Rose Theatre, arranged by Pat Bourne. She also reported on the group meeting at Chaddesley Corbett when members learned about a chocolate-making business.
Pat Bourne reported on the annual council meeting when Babs Powell was the main speaker, talking about when she sailed around the world the wrong way, also trekking in Nepal and various other expeditions raising money for charity. Mr Oliver Moss from the US Embassy, previously an ex-fighter pilot, also spoke.
President Margaret Mills reminded everyone of the visit to Coughton Court on August 6.
Mr Robert Barber gave an talk and slide show on Kidderminster town centre development, concentrating on the Bull Ring area. Margaret Mills won the competition for an old postcard.
The next meeting will be on May 5 to discuss the resolutions for the AGM. There will also be a beetle drive and ploughmans supper. Everyone welcome at the Oaks Community Hall, Mustow Green at 7.30pm.
