WI - The parish rooms were filled with visitors from Bentley Pauncefoot WI, who were welcomed by president June Homer. Included in the business section was June Gordon's account of the annual council meeting at Malvern.
The speaker for the evening, Nonny James, spoke about her life as a teacher and as a parent of a teenage daughter. Nonny writes many of her songs, accompanying herself on the guitar.
The president of Bentley Pauncefoot WI thanked Blakedown for their hospitality.
The next meeting on May 14 will feature discussions about forthcoming resolutions. Members were also reminded to bring their home-baked cakes for the Annie Harrison Plate competition.
