Far Forest

WI - A special birthday was celebrated. Business was completed and reminders given for the group meeting at Astley and the walk arranged by Far Forest's twin group at Malvern on May 6. The walk arranged for March 29 was a washout but a number of people took a leaflet and stayed for tea and cakes. It was agreed to run the same walk again on Saturday, May 10.

It will highlight sights of historical and environmental interest and there will be an I spy sheet for children. Go along to Far Forest Baptist Church between 1.30pm and 3.30pm to pick up a walk guide, which costs £1. I spy sheets are free. There will be an alternative route for those who went last time.

The walk is about four miles and will take about 90 minutes. Tea and cakes will be served afterwards for £1 per person.

The speaker was Angela Thompson, a fuchsia enthusiast. The evening finished with refreshments.

The next meeting is at the Far Forest Centre at 7.45pm on May 13 at which this year's two campaign resolutions will be discussed. All welcome.
