WI - At the April meeting, more names were added to the Ryton/Coventry visit. Ten seats had been booked for the Rose Theatre's production of Ladies Day and two spares were taken up.The members' visit to Stoke Prior was a success. Ann Ripper gave notice of Chaddesley WI's two theatre visits.
The AGM followed. Treasurer Val Wood and Kay Palmer, secretary, both gave reports. Chris Jordan is stepping down as president and programme secretary. Roni Pardoe, who will be president for the coming year, presented Chris with a floral arrangement. The committee was prepared to stand for another year and they were voted in en bloc. The speaker was Catherine Clark on my life and hats'.
The next meeting on May 21 will include fun quizzes, discussion and voting on the national resolutions. Meet at 2pm at Chaddesley Village Hall when visitors and new members will be welcome.
