FLORAL ART CLUB - Demonstrator and teacher Lesley Cole made her first visit to the club on April 28 with garage treasures' and her arrangements incorporated mechanics discovered and restored from her garage.
Competition winners were Frances Bashford first in open class, Ann Leake first with Kathy Page and Peggy Godsell joint second intermediate and Audrey McCoy first in the novice section. Beth Jones won flower of the month.
Tickets are available for the show by Andrew Lloyd at Astley and Dunley Village Hall on July 30.
The next meeting at the Social Day Centre, New Street, is on Monday with Claire Bond and the art gallery'. The members competition is for a basket of flowers and foliage. Visitors welcome.
CORNERSTONE FAMILY CHURCH - Family worship is held on Sunday at 10.30am.

LICKHILL WI - Kath Oakley gave a report on the Malvern council meeting. President Cherry Greaves will be attending the May meeting of Pumphouse WI in Worcester (the twinned WI) with any other members who would like to go. A ploughman's lunch, followed by strawberries and cream, will be served at the annual strawberry event on June 25.
Lickhill was featured in the County Newsletter and Cherry asked for recipes for the dessert section of the proposed recipe booklet. A ten pin bowling session at Perdiswell is being arranged.
Speaker Mrs Canning gave a talk on her experiences as a toastmaster.
The next members meeting on Wednesday will discuss this year's resolutions and members are asked to bring with them a childhood photograph for who is it?' quiz.
