WOLVERLEY AND COOKLEY HISTORICAL SOCIETY - Forty-four members, including three new members, attended the April meeting.
The speaker was Mr Rex Key, from Broseley, who gave a talk on clay pipe making.
Mr Key has taught himself to make clay pipes and these are still in demand for personal use and for film and stage props.
There is a clay pipe factory on the Ironbridge Museum site where he demonstrates the skill at weekends throughout the season.
At Wolverley Church Hall on Monday at 10am, the guest speaker will be Mrs B Jennings on the history of the wool trade. New members welcome.
