PEOPLE put their best feet forward to boost the coffers of the Alzheimers' Society.

A memory walk in the Wyre Forest district was one of more than 250 taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, ahead of World Alzheimer's Day, on Friday, September 21.

Florence Birch, of the society's Wyre Forest and district branch, said: "It was a wonderful way to have a great day out with friends and family and help raise money for a good cause at the same time.

"We all enjoyed our two-hour walk, which took us along the side of Hockley Brook, through fields and meadows and back through Chaddesley Woods.

"The money raised will be used to support carers of people with dementia in the Wyre Forest area."

The society's branch office, at 83 New Road, Kidderminster is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 10am until 4pm. The phone number is 01562 823800.
