A CALL for a new body to be set up to combat the "vandalised and down-at-heel appearance of much of Stourport town centre" has been rejected.
Labour councillor, Jamie Shaw, proposed the motion at a meeting of Stourport Town Council tonight but the majority of councillors said looking after the town was already their concern.
It was instead unanimously agreed that the town centre would become a standard feature in every forthcoming agenda of the council.
