HUNDREDS of people turned out to enjoy the activities during this year's Discover Bewdley Weekend.
Musicians, entertainers, dancers and people in costume paraded along Severnside South and into Bewdley gardens for the riverside parade, which marked the completion of the town's new heritage trail.
The trail was developed by a group of pupils from Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre. They planted the first marker in the trail on Wednesday last week.
Tightrope walker, Bernie Bennett, attracted crowds as he travelled across his wire on a uni-cycle, wearing a blindfold.
Miranda Sowden, event organiser, of Bewdley Development Trust, said: "The weekend couldn't have gone much better.
"The riverside looked great with the banners and windsocks the children had made and it felt really good too.
"The atmosphere was very relaxed and people clearly enjoyed themselves."
She added: "I'm really grateful to everyone who contributed to the programme and to our sponsors, Wetherspoon and Severn Trent Water, who enabled us to put on even more entertainment."
The event, which took place on Sunday and Monday, was organised by the people of Bewdley, while the programme was co-ordinated by Bewdley Development Trust.
During Tuesday's Bewdley Town Council meeting, Mayor Anne Mace said: "Apart from the rain, it was a lovely atmosphere.
"Bewdley Development Trust should be congratulated."
