Summer sounds

KIDDERMINSTER Choral Society will give a summer concert of English music at the Town Hall next Saturday.

Joining the group on the night will be guest soloist, Eddie Wade (baritone), Wyre Forest Young Voices and the Elgar Sinfonia.

Peter Knott, publicity officer for the society, said: "This will be a real celebration, something like the Last Night of the Proms, with festive music by Walton, Stanford, Elgar, Vaughan Williams and Parry.

"There will be some surprise items and the chance for everyone to join in old favourites, such as Rule Britannia and Jerusalem."

The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Bob Powell on 01562 60112.
