I AM disgusted that anglers want Keith the seal, who made his/her way into the River Severn, to be shot.
I am a keen angler and can say that some so-called anglers kill more wildlife and fish than this seal will ever do.
They leave tins, bottles, line, hooks and many other items that kill thousands of wildlife species every year. Probably some of these are the ones who want this seal killed.
If they were lost and hungry would they not turn to eat anything edible? It would not matter whether it was fish from the river or any other type of wildlife, I'm sure I would.
The amount of fish and wildlife this seal will eat before it makes its way back to the coast, is negligible.
