I WRITE this letter in response to the closure of the Worcester Road recycling centre in Kidderminster.
In the past week I have made two journeys to the Stourport road site and both times queues have been backing up onto the main road.
Also, they are unable to get the full containers removed and empty ones back in fast enough. This is no fault of the staff as they are always a great help, but purely down to massive demand and the site being over-used.
Severn Waste say the Worcester Road site is closed so building work can take place but no work has started and the site has been closed for over four weeks.
We also now hear the site may never re-open as a cost-saving measure. I think Severn Waste should come clean about the future plans for the site.
