BEFORE Dr Lamb, Labour’s Worcester-based Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Wyre Forest, bleats on too much about Ukip, he should get his facts straight and look at the record of his own party and that of his Labour colleagues.

Research by the Times shows Ukip councillors have the best attendance of any political party. Ukip councillors attend on average 92.4% of compulsory meetings, Conservatives 88.6%, Labour 88.3%, Lib Dems 87.7% and the Greens just 79.6%.

Scurrilous remarks against Ukip candidates and councillors are best addressed by a quick Google search revealing all manner of offences committed by Labour councillors locally and nationally.

Recently, a Labour councillor was convicted of using a homophobic term, having been found guilty of hurling a homophobic slur at a colleague in a street row.

Consumers are currently being hit by the energy companies’ refusal to reduce the price of gas and electricity despite the sharp fall in wholesale prices, now the lowest for four years.

This is directly a result of Labour’s interference and commitment to freeze prices if or when they ever get back into power.

This is just another example of the kind of ill thought out Labour policies that saw not one but two Labour administrations leave this country on its knees, almost bankrupt. Do we really want to see them pull off the hat-trick?

As for Dr Lamb’s personal record, he is a Worcester City councillor and Labour have just been ousted as the main group after only one year due the shambolic way they have run things, yet he has the nerve to dish out advice on how Ukip will work and contribute to Wyre Forest District Council.

Wyre Forest Ukip voters can rest assured we won’t be taking any lessons from Labour or Dr Lamb on that either, thank you very much.

Ukip councillors are open minded and approachable. We are for common sense, not for more of the nonsense of self-preservation of party politics.

We are free to vote as we see fit.

Ukip councillors are allowed to put the electorate first and not the party machine.

Such local independence from the main party will prove the people have chosen correctly.
