MY grandson and his business partner have recently, with the help of family and friends, spent many weeks cleaning and repainting the former Lighthouse on Stourport Road and opened The Armoury Martial Arts Centre, for all ages to enjoy martial arts and keep fit in pleasant surroundings.

During the clean up, they also removed loads of rubbish and old foliage from the outside and made the access pleasing to the eye.

It was my pleasure to give them two hanging baskets, which were put up on Saturday but by Monday they were gone.

I hope the person who now has my wicker flower containers hanging in metal baskets entwined with butterflies at their home, looks after them and tells everyone how he/she obtained them.

They not only took two baskets but it feels as if they took £30 out of a pensioner’s purse. I am sure Kidderminster is very proud of them, especially when they have come from a centre where two young men are trying to give something back to the community in a safe, tidy environment in which they can get fit and enjoy themselves.

I would like to say this theft has left me very disappointed.
