USE the B4189 Wolverley road daily, have done on and off for 25 years as a pedestrian, cyclist and motorist. Are there any roadologists who can explain why a 40 MPH speed limit is in force from the Lock pub to the Sion Hill junction?
The road not only has its own school (Heathfields) but is also party to foot traffic from both Wolverley schools, the road lanes are very narrow and the footpath, in some places is paper thin leaving all pedestrians extremely exposed.
The road is also subject to many HGVs and buses both school and route. My fear is that the tragic death on this stretch of road last month will not be the last. Come on road safety team, it needs to be 30mph.
