ELECTION Day was made very difficult for many people in Wyre Forest because of the closure of polling stations carried out by the Conservatives last year.
They won the election and many seats on the council, but in Habberley, for instance, there were queues at two polling stations, and Shuttle coverage (May 14) of the same issue indicated more severe problems elsewhere.
I have asked for a review of the decision to close polling stations and re-open them to help voters cast their votes. Yes, we have postal voting but many people like to vote in person.
From Habberley Estate to the Rugby Club is 1.7 miles. In an urban area particularly, this is unacceptable. The result of which meant that many people did not vote!
