YOUR coverage of car parking and a ‘grace’ period makes interesting reading.
If I were to arrive at Kidderminster station one minute after my train was due to depart I’d expect to see it just disappearing around the corner.
Indeed if I were to arrive ten minutes after departure time I’d expect it to be long gone.
So perhaps someone would care to explain why it is that a motorist should be favoured with a ‘grace’ period after their time at the meter has elapsed. Is it simply one law for the car driver and a separate one for the public transport user or can I expect that London Midland will in future hold the trains for ten minutes just in case passengers arrive late.
