LOCAL elections approach. Aspiring councillors offering to serve Stourport/Birchen Coppice/Foley Park wards can avail themselves of an unsuspected opportunity in their efforts to woo the voters whom they declare it would be an honour to represent.
Demonstrating sincerity to these residents would require them to travel by bus with an occupied pushchair/ walking stick/heavy suitcase from Stourport to Kidderminster Hospital, and railway station in the latter instance.
Is Wyre Forest the only parliamentary division where the MP is content for a quarter of his constituents to be suddenly denied the basic expectation of an hourly core bus service to their hospital and local railway station?
