MAY I give an update on progress for the GP Unit at Kidderminster Hospital?
I was told that the new unit in the Robertson Building would be adapted by October 2016, and that patients would be transferred to it after completion.
The contractor kindly gave me a walk around the unit on the first floor (there is a lift).
My petition to ensure the transfer took place gained many thousands of signatures and I am grateful to all who signed.
I gave regular batches of these to the local Doctors of Wyre Forest Clinical Commissioning Group and the Acute Hospital Trust in Worcester.
The NHS is perhaps our most valuable public asset.
I support the junior doctors in their current battle with the government.
