THE recent revelations about our MP Mark Garnier make for sad reading. Wyre Forest District has a population of over 98,000 people, with over half of them women – how is it that Mark Garnier can behave in such a derogatory way towards a female employee, when he actually represents over 49,000 females?
What sort of example does he think he is setting? No-one expects our representatives to be perfect, nor for that matter be morally superior to the electorate – we all have our own faults and foibles after all, but this behaviour is extraordinary and not the way an average person would behave. Time for a change come the next election, I feel.
