IF Wyre Forest District Council, continues with their decision to force Bewdley Town Football Club to lower their floodlights after games, do they not realise what a knock-on effect this would have on the club?

It will not just affect the senior teams, but also the up-and-coming kids of the future. The club have first class facilities with first class coaches. They are providing, an education for the youngsters of the Wyre Forest area to progress their footballing talent.

If the council would like to take time out and come along to see the youngsters at Bewdley, they would see the enjoyment on their faces. Or would they like them to walk the streets, getting in to trouble?

If the district Council continue with this petty decision, I cannot see a future for Bewdley Town FC.

The simple fact is the club can not afford the £1,000-plus it would take to safeguard the lights when lowered and all the hard work the club have put in over the years will be wasted.

I would like, in the name of sport, for the people of the Wyre Forest, to back Bewdley Town FC and campaign to overturn the council, decision, and safeguard the future of thel club, and give the kids of Wyre Forest a chance to progress. SAVE OUR LIGHTS.
